This month we were delighted to represent New Zealand in the Chardonnay taste off at the Tri Nations dinner held at UK Michelin starred restaurant The Harrow at Little Bedwyn.
Roger Jones, owner and wine aficionado (and a rugby fiend) launched the Tri Nations to highlight the quality of premium wines from Australia, NZ and South Africa matched with exquisite food.At this month’s dinner the battle for the Chardonnay crown was between Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2015 and Tolpuddle 2013 from Tasmania. Delighted to say we won (third year in row in fact). Our Chardonnay was served with lobster, scallop and langoustine ravioli with sweet chill jam and Thai basil. We totally approve of the concept – great wine served with superb food. It is the true test of a wine – a theatre where elegance reigns and mouth feel and weight are put to the test. Rock on Roger we say.
